From July 9 to July 26, locals will be able to purchase tickets to see this astounding spectacle, which will be held at NRG Stadium. Joe Myers Toyota is participating in this year's Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, running Nov. 28 through Dec. 14. During this time, we're encouraging everyone in the Houston area to drop off a new, unwrapped toy at our dealership, which will be gifted to a less fortunate child for Christmas.
Joe Myers Toyota is proud to announce that one of our very own technicians, Carl Smith, took first place at this year's Master Diagnostic Technician Skills Competition! Smith battled against 14 other technicians in the five-hour grueling skills competition, which was made up of five individual testing stations. Judged on his diagnostic strategy, Smith exceeded expectations and was able to successfully complete the competition to become Gulf States Toyota's Master Diagnostic Technician.
There is nothing more important to Joe Myers Toyota than helping out the Houston community, which is why we recently joined forces with Toyota Motor Sales through the Toyota Dealer Match Program and donated a total of 10K to Brookwood Community. A well-known neighborhood within the city, Brookwood Community houses functionally disabled adults who are unable to live in society on their own.
Come out and celebrate German culture and tradition at Houston Oktoberfest, scheduled to be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, in the Northwest Mall Parking Lot. Based off of the historic Oktoberfest, which runs for two weeks in Munich, Germany each year, Houston Oktoberfest brings the festivities to the U.S. and showcases a wide range of the country's customs, such as German folk dancing, food, beer and clothing.
The world's largest Color Festival is heading to Houston on Saturday, September 13, at Sam Houston Race Park. Originally founded in Utah, this unique festival celebrates life and unity through the use of music, yoga, dance, and most importantly, color! This harmonious event, where attendees are encouraged to shower each other in color, is open to men, women and children of all ages.
