Come out and celebrate German culture and tradition at Houston Oktoberfest, scheduled to be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, in the Northwest Mall Parking Lot. Based off of the historic Oktoberfest, which runs for two weeks in Munich, Germany each year, Houston Oktoberfest brings the festivities to the U.S. and showcases a wide range of the country's customs, such as German folk dancing, food, beer and clothing. An event for both children and adults, there's no better way to celebrate the fall season and learn about German heritage.
From musical performances to imported beer tasting, there will plenty of activities to enjoy at Houston Oktoberfest. The HoustonSSC Fun Zone will keep the kids occupied with corn hole and giant Jenga, while the adults head to the beer garden to sample some of Germany's best ale, such as Paulaner Weiss'n Oktoberfest, Hofbrau Original, Warsteiner Dunkle and BitBurger. When you're not spending time in the beer garden or eating a delicious brat, you can also view or participate in one of the festival's best dressed, yodeling or chicken dance contests, as well as the Oktoberfest Olympiad Games, for outstanding prizes!
Purchase your tickets for Houston Oktoberfest online now and be sure to head out to the Northwest Mall Parking Lot on Saturday, Sept. 13, to join in on the fun!
