The 2020 RAV4 is available in either a gasoline or a hybrid edition. The base model is called the LE. It gets an impressive list of standard amenities such as a seven-inch infotainment display screen with an Entune audio system, an interior designed with soft-touch materials, and an all-wheel-drive configuration that has multiple driving modes.

The hybrid edition, called the LE, adds dual-zone climate control, vents in the back row, and a backup camera. The XLE adds to the list a smart key entry system, an optional eight-inch infotainment screen, and a height-adjustable liftgate. The XLE hybrid gets five USB charging ports, LED projector-beam lights with chrome accents, and more safety amenities.

The XLE Premium gets a more upscale interior with SoftTex bucket seats, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, and an optional eight-inch infotainment screen with navigation and JBL speakers. The Adventure trim features a seven-inch infotainment display with custom settings. Heated and ventilated seats are available, as is an eight-inch infotainment display with navigation.

The XSE hybrid gets a two-tone color scheme, and a panoramic sunroof is available. The Limited features eight-way adjustable heated seats in the front and a digital rearview mirror. The TRD Off-Road is equipped for the trails with a fortified suspension system, traction control, and 8.6 inches of ground clearance.

The gasoline engine is a 2.5L with four cylinders and 16 valves. It has a total power output of 203 HP at 6,600 RPM and 184 LB-FT of torque at 5,000 RPM. With the hybrid engine, the RAV4 has a total power output of 219 HP. The electric motor assist produces 118 HP and 149 LB-FT of torque with 650V of power. Front-wheel drive is standard on select trims, while all-wheel drive is standard on other trim levels. The transmission is an eight-speed automatic that is electronically controlled.

When it comes to safety, the 2020 RAV4 has your needs covered. The RAV4 comes with eight airbags throughout the cabin. Advanced safety technology is standard, too. It comes in the form of the Star Safety System, which has enhanced vehicle stability control, anti-lock brakes, traction control, and more.

The RAV4 also gets the Safety Sense package, which has lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, and other amenities. Some features, such as blind-spot monitoring, are optional on the 2020 Toyota RAV4. Side-impact door beams along the front and sides add more protection.
