One of the most recent vehicles to make an appearance on Jay Leno’s hit web series, "Jay Leno's Garage," was none other than an original Toyota Celica. The former late night TV host was able to get his hands on a first-generation model courtesy of the Toyota USA Museum, which lent him the car for the episode.

The Toyota Celica made its debut on the market during 1970. Considered a milestone car, the model was one of the first sports cars available across the globe and the first Toyota sports car to be released on the U.S. market. Born in a time when pony cars reigned supreme, the Toyota Celica had stiff competition in its segment. However, its excellent handling and appealing exterior design made it a popular option for Toyota fans. It lived in the automaker's lineup for 35 years and went down in history as a classic model.

Leno reveals further information about the first-generation Toyota Celica during its guest appearance on "Jay Leno's Garage" and even invites Toyota Brand Manager Paul Czaplicki to come by and talk about the influential model. Take a look at the 20-minute episode below to see the 1971 Toyota Celica in all its glory and witness Leno take it for a spin.
