Magical Winter Lights is a brand-new holiday tradition that will take place at Sam Houston Race Park from Nov. 20, 2015 - Jan. 10, 2016. Spanning a total of 52 days, this spectacular lighting event will utilize the same design architecture used to create Chinese lanterns in order to remake famous landmarks featured across the globe.
The largest lantern festival of its kind, Magical Winter Lights will be a must-attend event for all Houston residents. During its run at Sam Houston Race Park, guests will be able to navigate their way through a series of themed lantern sections, including Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe, Americas & Houston, Magical and Dinosaur Land. From the Sydney Opera House and Houston skylines to the pyramids of Africa and Europe's cathedrals, there will be a wide range of stunning lanterns for all to see! In addition to the lights, guests will also have a chance to take pictures with Santa, stroll through the European Christmas Market, watch live entertainment, snack on delicious food from Houston’s best vendors and take a spin on carnival rides.
