Drive's very own Mike Musto recently traveled to Dubai, where he got the chance to take a look at the country's off-roading automotive culture. During his journey, he got the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a modified 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser equipped with a 4.6L V-8 engine and sail across the wide open dunes.
The Toyota Land Cruiser has come a long way over the years and is now able to take on just about anything that crosses its path. Drive's Mike Musto got the chance to experience the capabilities of the SUV firsthand during his trip to Dubai when he met a man named Ahmad Al Roum, who owned a modified 2014 Land Cruiser with a V8, upgraded shocks and large tires. In the video showcasing Musto's adventure, we get a glimpse of Dubai's unique off-roading culture, where vehicles take to the Dubai desert. The Land Cruiser, along with other dune-friendly vehicles, can be seen romping through the desert at high speeds and launching off giant mounds of sand, showing off their capabilities.
