What's New for the 2022 Toyota RAV4?

The Toyota RAV4 is an upscale SUV option with a lot of charm. This year, Calvary Blue is an available paint option. LED fog lamps are also found on the XLE Premium, Adventure, Limited, and TRD Off-Road trim levels. The headlights are slightly redesigned on most models as well, giving the RAV4 a more athletic look.

2022 RAV4 Trims & Features

There are actually six versions of the RAV4 available in 2022. The first is known as the LE, and it comes equipped with LED headlights, a six-speaker sound system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Choosing the XLE will add additional charging USB ports, plus dual-zone automatic climate control. The XLE Premium has those features, and it further adds a sunroof and a power liftgate.

The Adventure trim does not have the sunroof or power liftgate, but it does add hill descent control and selectable drive modes. Choosing the TRD Off-Road will mean getting an off-road-tuned suspension and unique style details. For the top Limited trim level, the RAV4 is equipped with wireless device charging and a premium sound system.

2022 Toyota RAV4 Horsepower

Despite the number of trim levels, all models of the 2022 RAV4 have a powerful four-cylinder engine. It generates 203-horsepower, which is plenty for this SUV to give drivers satisfying acceleration. An eight-speed automatic transmission is also standard, and there are both front-wheel and all-wheel drive models available.

Toyota RAV4 Safety

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is equipped on every 2022 RAV4. It bundles automatic high beams, forward-collision mitigation, a traffic sign reader, and adaptive cruise control. A lane-keeping system is part of the package as well.

Starting with the XLE, blind-spot monitoring is added to the RAV4. A surround-view camera system is optional, as well as a digital rearview mirror that ensures you can always see what is behind you.
