What's New for the 2022 Toyota C-HR?

While there aren't a lot of changes for 2022, Toyota did change things around so that the XLE is the starting trim for the vehicle. Some colors changed a bit, including getting the new color Wind Chill Pearl.

2022 C-HR Trims and Features

The first trim in the new year is called the XLE. This used to be a mid-level tier from trims, but it's now been changed to be the base starting point. The purpose of this is to communicate that the features are going to be more luxurious right from the start.

Examples of features from this trim include the dual-zone automatic climate control option. When it comes to this trim, you get the advantage of being able to control the temperature in two different parts of the vehicle based on whatever is comfortable for different people who are sitting there.

Next are the automatic high beam lights. This makes it so the C-HR activates the lights automatically in low light conditions. They can then go back to dim when there's traffic moving in your direction or off when they aren't needed. You also get the proximity key fob which makes it so that you can open your car doors when your close to your car as long as the fob is on you.

The next trim is called the Nightshade Edition. This is an aesthetic trim that makes it so that a lot of the detailing in your vehicle is black. For example, you get the black 18-inch wheels, black door handles, and the black room if that's what you want.

Finally, the C-HR Limited option gives you full leather upholstery, adaptive headlights to turn in the direction your vehicle is turning, and front seats with their own heating source.

2022 Toyota C-HR Horsepower

Every new CH-R is motivated by a 2.0-liter DOHC four-cylinder. The engine power for this vehicle is 144 horsepower. The 2022 C-HR presents a smooth performance and is further aided by a continuously variable automatic transmission. Suppose you want to have more fun, switch to the CH-R's exciting Sport mode. Not only does the Sport mode enhance throttle response, but it also gives the steering system a more engaging power and feel.
