What's New For the 2022 Toyota Avalon?
The Avalon is one of the most recognizable and popular sedans from Toyota. The Avalon has traditionally stood out for its spacious interior, its contemporary style, and the fact that it offers plenty of value across the lineup. This year, the Toyota Avalon doesn't get many changes to its performance characteristics or the amenities that it offers. However, some exterior stylistic changes give the Avalon a refreshed look from the front to back. The latest Avalon now has a bolder and more daring style to reflect the fact that it is still one of the coolest vehicles on the road.
2022 Avalon Trims & Features
The 2022 Toyota Avalon is made in seven trims. There are three trims available if you want the regular gasoline-powered Avalon, and there are four trim levels available for the hybrid model as well. The 2022 Toyota Avalon has the same base trim for the gasoline and hybrid models. The first trim in the lineup is the XLE. The XLE has many standard safety aids with the inclusion of Toyota's Safety Sense 2.5+ package. The base model is well-equipped in the area of technology, too, with a standard 9-inch touchscreen, Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Split-folding back seats come with the hybrid edition. The hybrid then adds an exclusive trim called the XSE Hybrid Nightshade. The Nightshade has a sleek all-black exterior with glossy accents, and black wheels sized 19 inches. The Nightshade also has a rear spoiler. Following that trim is the Touring, which is a trim exclusive to the gasoline-powered Avalon. The Touring has LED headlights with a daytime running feature. The lights are automatic for safety and practicality. A JBL sound system comes with this trim as well. Next in the lineup is the Limited, which is produced as a gasoline-based model and a hybrid. The Limited in both models has plush leather upholstery and integrated navigation. It also has standard automatic headlights if you get the hybrid.

2022 Toyota Avalon Horsepower
The Avalon is available with two gasoline engines and a hybrid. The base gasoline engine is a 3.5L V6. This engine cranks out about 300 HP in power, and it will reach close to 270 LB-FT of torque. The base engine is paired with an eight-speed transmission. You can also get the hybrid with a maximum power output of 215 HP, or you can upgrade to the XLE or Touring for a more powerful four-cylinder engine that produces 205 HP.
Toyota Avalon Safety
A respectable list of safety aids for the Toyota Avalon includes rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, and pedestrian detection.
