What's New For the 2022 Toyota 4Runner?

Toyota has been selling the 4Runner since the early 1980s. It's gone through a number of updates and upgrades throughout the years, and the 2022 model is part of the fifth generation. Other trim levels include the TRD Sport, Trail Special Edition, SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited, and TRD Pro. All of the trim levels are relatively affordable, with features only changing slightly as you work your way up the line. The TRD Off-Road trim level is a great place to start your search. You get a good combination of an off-road vehicle while still reaping the benefits of a luxury-looking midsize SUV. It comes equipped with four-wheel drive, various drive modes and a locking rear differential that turns your wheels simultaneously regardless of what your level of traction is, tailgate seating, and a sliding rear cargo deck. The higher-end trim levels provide you with the option for Toyota's Kinetic Dynamic Suspension.

2022 Toyota 4Runner Horsepower

The 2022 version of the Toyota 4Runner comes with a 4.0-liter V6 engine that comes standard with a five-speed automatic transmission. Plenty of power is provided, and you can get up to 270 horsepower. If you're selecting a trim level that's one of the more high-end varieties, your 4Runner will have more ground clearance and an upgraded suspension. The towing ability of the 4Runner is 5000 pounds.

This is a very safe vehicle, thanks to a number of standard safety features among all of the different trim levels. The 2022 4Runner comes equipped with forward-collision warning technology to let you know if there's a potential impact coming up.
