In 2020, the Toyota Prius gets a number of new features to look forward to. Now, the Prius gets more advanced technology and additional creature comforts. All trims levels of the Toyota Prius are outfitted with a new standard infotainment screen. This display screen is a seven-inch screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You can also look forward to more safety features in the Safety Connect system, which now comes standard across the lineup.
All trim levels get the comprehensive safety package called Toyota Safety Sense, which equips all trim levels with a variety of advanced driver-assist safety aids. All-wheel drive is standard on some trim levels and available for others. All trims proudly feature a quiet cabin that minimizes sound even with the gasoline engine engaged. All trim levels of the Prius have an exceptional fuel economy and great visibility. Their adept handling makes them easy to drive around town, too.
The 2020 Toyota Prius comes in six trim levels. The base trim is called the L Eco. This trim emphasizes safety with an abundance of standard safety technologies. It comes equipped on the inside with a seven-inch display screen complete with smartphone pairing, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Technology extends to the back row with the inclusion of multiple USB charging ports.
The base trim also gets 24-hour roadside assistance. The exterior includes 15-inch alloy wheels with wheel covers and tires of the same size. The LE is the second trim level. Its driver-assist safety technology also includes blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. This trim gets additional cargo space and intelligent parking-assist sensors. The XLE adds to the list on the inside with SoftTex heated front seats with an eight-way adjustable driver's seat and a four-way adjustable front passenger's seat. Wireless charging is standard.
The Limited gets larger 17-inch alloy wheels, a high-resolution display screen, and a premium JBL sound system. The LE with all-wheel drive includes on-demand all-wheel drive, accent lighting, and integrated LED fog lights. The XLE with all-wheel drive features a heated steering wheel, a wireless smartphone charging station, and heated front seats with a six-way adjustable driver's seat.
All trim levels of the Toyota Prius have a hybrid engine mechanical system. They have electric motor generators and a gasoline engine with a 1.8L capacity and four cylinders. In all trims, this engine can produce up to 96 HP at 5,200 RPM and up to 105 LB-FT of torque at 3,600 RPM. When combined with the electric motor, this system has a maximum power output of 121 HP. All-wheel drive is standard or available depending on your chosen trim level.
All trim levels of the 2020 Prius have plenty of standard and available safety technology. At a minimum, they get dual-stage advanced airbags, the Toyota Safety Sense package with forward-collision avoidance, lane-change assist, and lane departure warning, along with the Star Safety System that adds anti-lock brakes, smart stop technology, and stability control. Blind-spot monitoring and sonar-assist parking sensors are available.
