Which Styles are Available for 2019?

There are five trim levels of the Corolla, which are are the L, LE, XLE, SE, and XSE. The base model, which is the L, seats up to five passengers.

It meets passengers' needs to stay connected with a USB port, Bluetooth compatibility, and an infotainment display screen. Safety is prioritized in the L with LED daytime headlights. Power windows and a signature Toyota Safety Sense package, which includes a pre-collision detection and avoidance system, pedestrian detection, and lane departure warning, are also standard.

The LE gets an edgier look with a rear spoiler. Its rear seats fold down, and it comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels. The XLE features even more with a push-button start and keyless entry. This trim also has a moonroof and heated front seats.

The SE has 17-inch wheels and a leather steering wheel with audio and phone buttons. It also has black accents and sportier front fascia. The XSE features an upgraded audio system with app connectivity and navigation. This trim has a larger display screen, which is seven inches instead of the standard 6.1-inch screen on lower models. An eight-way adjustable driver's seat is another highlight of the XSE.

How Does the 2019 Corolla Perform on the Road?

2019 Toyota Corolla Passenger SideThe sedan versions of the 2019 Corolla come standard with a 1.8L, four-cylinder engine that produces up to 132 HP at 6,000 RPM and 128 LB-FT of torque at 4,400 RPM. The hatchback is powered by a 2.0L, four-cylinder engine that produces up to 168 HP. Both engines are paired with either a six speed manual or automatic transmission.

The manual transmission has a rev-matching technology that regulates engine speed while you're driving. For the driver, this means effortless shifting and a smooth ride. There are a variety of driving modes to choose from: normal mode, the fuel-saving Eco mode, and a performance-enhancing Sport mode. The newest Corolla is available in front-wheel drive. An independent MacPherson strut front suspension system rounds out its mechanical components.

Strong Safety Encompasses the Corolla

2019 Toyota Corolla Rear Folding SeatsToyota has a reputation for making safe cars, and the latest Corolla continues that trend. The driver's side door has an emergency locking system, and there are child locks for the back doors. The cage around the passenger seating area is specially designed to deflect an impact in the event of a crash.

Along with the physical safety features, the Corolla has a suite of tech components to keep the driver and occupants safe. A notable inclusion is the Toyota Safety Sense package. This comprehensive safety package has a pre-collision and pedestrian detection warning sensor. It also has lane departure alert and lane-keep assist. Daytime LED running lights and a radar-operated cruise control, which monitors speed and distance to the car in front, are other standard offerings in the Safety Sense package.
