With the next-generation Camry, Toyota aimed to create something incapable of being ignored – a new sedan concept that would stir people’s souls and be a true driver’s car. So how did this thinking change the Camry we all know and love? See for yourself below.

NEW PLATFORM
Just like the Toyota Prius, the 2018 Camry utilizes Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA) which enables a lower center of gravity and optimal performance. The sedan also receives a double-wishbone rear suspension and firmer body structure to enhance handling. Additionally, the battery position on the Camry Hybrid has moved, resulting in greater trunk space and improved weight distribution.
SLEEKER EXTERIOR
Compared to the 2017 Camry, the new model has a lower stance and slightly wider body that give it a more athletic look. Its appearance is more edgy and muscular overall thanks to new character lines that highlight the fenders, a lower roofline, and a revised fascia with sleeker headlights and an updated grille.

IMPROVED SEATS
Greater comfort is provided by fully redesigned front seats with enhanced ergonomics. The rear seats also offer improved ergonomics and enhanced roominess.
NEW CABIN DISPLAYS
The latest edition of Toyota’s Human Machine Interface (HMI) is incorporated into three available displays, including a 10-inch color Head-Up Display, 7-inch multi-information display in the instrument cluster, and 8-inch audio and navigation display with HVAC controls.

THREE NEW ENGINES
When the 2018 Toyota Camry goes on sale in Houston, it will offer three new powertrains, including a 3.5-liter V6, 2.5-liter inline-4 and hybrid system with a choice of two batteries, similar to the Prius. Full specs aren’t out, but Toyota says the lineup offers greater horsepower and higher mpg.
STANDARD TSS-P
Toyota’s suite of driver-assist technologies, dubbed Toyota Safety Sense-P, will come standard on the 2018 Toyota Camry. The suite includes Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Automatic High Beams.
2018 CAMRY RELEASE DATE
The new 2018 Toyota Camry goes on sale in Houston and other cities across the country toward the end of summer 2017. The model is once again available in four trim levels: LE, XLE, SE and XSE.
