Love everything that has to do with cars? We do too! At Joe Myers Toyota, we understand your passion for cars, so here’s an event that every car enthusiast in Texas is sure to love.
Running through May 31, 2016, the “Sculpted in Steel: Art Deco Automobiles and Motorcyles” exhibit in Houston, showcases 14 cars and three motorcycles designed between 1929 and 1940 – an iconic period that transformed the auto industry on a global scale. The display will also help you rev up your knowledge of the Art Deco era by checking out historical images and videos that accompany these magnificent machines.

Let’s talk about the history of this era a little more. The Art Deco design not only influenced the engineering of cars, but it also helped shaped fashion, fine art and architecture. Taking off first in France in the 20th century, the machine-inspired Art Deco style hit a red light during World War I, but moved forward again throughout Europe after the war.
So what are waiting for? Come check out some cool cars and see for yourself why this exhibit has become such a hit in Houston. Located at 1001 Bissonnet Street, you’re sure to love everything that this car display has to offer! Please visit the official website for more information.
