Add some color to your run at the upcoming Foam Glow 5k in Houston. On September 3, join forces with your family, friends and neighbors at Sam Houston Race Park, and take part in this one-of-a-kind event! The untimed race is filled with glowing foam to make your run exciting.
At the starting line, runners look like a brand-new canvas, but by the end, they are covered with different colored foam that glows under a ton of black lights. For this to work, though, you need to wear as much white as possible.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. At the end of the race, participants will get to move to the rhythm of some heart-pounding beats during the after party. Every registered runner will also receive a Foam Glow 5k shirt.
Taking place in various cities around the U.S., the event’s primary goal is to raise money for childhood cancer awareness. According to the event’s website, “Foam Glow 5k has a passion for children’s cancer research. We dedicate our races to children. We are faithful to children and families, understanding that 1 in 3 families are rocked by childhood cancer and terminal illnesses every day.”
